Two cerebral palsy stories came through the newswire today and I thought I would share them with you guys. The first is about Eddie Legault of Valencia.

For 20 years this man has been bowling. And on a night in April he reached the pinnacle of his bowling achievements: a perfect 300 game.

"You couldn't even hear yourself talk, it was just crazy," the Valencia Lanes manager said. "A hundred and twenty people lined up to shake his hand. It was incredible. It brought tears to your eyes."

Nobody there had ever seen a man with cerebral palsy bowl a perfect game.

Eddie was born with a congenitive heart defect and his doctors said that he would always lack hand-eye coordination.

Well, Eddie certainly has proved them wrong!

Another great story comes from a young gentleman named Luke Whitfield. Despite being unable to talk due to cerebral palsy, Luke refuses to let it run his life.

He has, with the help of his father, begun training for a 14km race. His father says that he has been very humbled by the donations people have been giving to help the cause.

He and his father will be attempting to raise $5000 to help the Spastic Center in purchasing equipment for other cerebral palsy sufferers.
